Operations
The Operations Department on the first floor in the Control Tower deals with all pilot enquiries. The 'Ops' room is open seven days a week and staff are available to provide information, advice and assistance with any flight that you may wish to make.
In Operations the current Kemble airfield information is displayed along with TAFs and METARs on the notice board with other relevant information. In the adjacent pilot room there is free internet access, tea and coffee for visitors.
If you need any local assistance prior to departure for Kemble, or to help you with your flight from Kemble, please contact Ops by email at ops@kemble.com or by telephone: 01285 771177. Pilots should always go to the Ops room for assistance now rather than the VCR.
Air Traffic
Kemble Airport offers a Flight Information Service (FIS) during the published opening times but will occasionally downgrade to an Air/Ground (A/G) service during quiet periods. The Airport may be closed during periods of bad weather.
All initial calls should be made to 'Kemble Information'.
As part of our provision to comply with European Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) requirements access to the Visual Control Room (VCR) is now restricted. Staff in the Ops room should be able to deal with all enquiries – see ‘Operations’
